ALBERTA LOOKOUTS
TALBOT LAKE
Slave Lake Division
February 14, 1963: "A new Forestry Tower has been constructed near Talbot Lake. This Tower is in the Slave Lake Forestry division, but reached by the Three Creeks road and is about 150 miles north east of Peace River.
Ted Boodle, who is now Chief Ranger of the Slave Lake division, was in charge of the work and had 12 men on the job. They have been at the tower site for most of January, and came out on Feb. 5. Because of the heavy snow it was necessary to take a D6 to plow the road ahead of the trucks and the camp.
Al Werner, assistant Ranger, has been helping Ted on the project." (Peace River Record Gazette)
