1936: "A new steel tower was hauled to the mountain top at Lac a Ange to replace the wooden tower which has outlived its usefulness. Erection will be completed early next spring." (Annual Report of the Laurentian Forest Protective Association)
1937: "The old wooden tower near Lac a Ange, on the Baie St. Paul Lumber Company limits, was replaced by a steel cabined tower, 75 feet high. The view is considerably improved with this permanent structure." (Annual Report of the Laurentian Forest Protective Association)
