1948: "A new 80 ft. lookout tower with observer's living quarters was built at Kintore, southeast of Perth near the Victoria-Carlton County Line. The connecting metallic circuit telephone line on poles, 3 1/2 miles in length, constructed at the same time connects this tower with Kintore Cache and the Andover exchange. A road was also bulldozed from Kintore Cache to the tower site previous to construction." (112th Annual Report of the Department of Lands and Mines)
1963: "Two fibreglas tower cupolas were erec ted on an experimental basis at Kintore and Quisbis. They were installed by a method which permitted complete assembly of the unit on the ground before being hoisted into place on top of the tower structure."
