October 12, 1923: "For the balance of the month Mr. Jory and Alf. Palmer, who was in charge of the Kitchener area this year, are being employed cutting seven miles of trail for the telephone pole line to a new lookout station that is being built near Moyie."

October 26, 1923: "N. Moore of Cranbrook, district forester for East Kootenay, was here on official visit at the end of the week. Last week's rainfall brought along an 18-inch snowfall at the point above Moyie where the new forestry lookout is being put in, and work on it has had to be canceled for this season." May 16, 1924: "Alf. Palmer went to work at the first of the month on the forestry patrol service and we, hear, will be permanently located in the West Creston area, the new lookout at Moyie having a good view of the Kitchener section to Thompson creek." (Creston Review)
September 5, 1924: "This year, too, forest protection is expedited through the use of the two lookout stations at Swansea, near Invermore, and at Moyie, west of Cranbrook. May 7, 1926: "W. Hale has received the appointment of forestry patrol, succeeding the late Jas. Jory. The work has been rearranged for 1926 and Mr. Hale is to be located at Moyie, and will have Geo. Huscroft as assistant patrol in the Creston area." (Creston Review)
