QUEBEC LOOKOUTS
BUSTED LAKE
Ottawa River Forest Protective Association, Ltd
1953: "Two cabin-type steel observation towers were erected in 1953. One of these, a 70-foot tower which we had in stock, was put up at Busted Lake, on the headwaters of the Dumoine River, to replace a wooden tower situated six miles east of the new location. Because this new tower is located at a greater elevation, its observer is able to keep watch over a far larger area than was possible from the old wooden tower."
