1929: "In the Eastern Section, a tower of the open platform type, 80 feet high, was hauled in on the snow, and built on the west side of the Manicougan River, near White Bank." (Annual Report of the Laurentian Forest Protective Association)
1931: "At Manicougan 1 mile approximately was built to connect up the White Bank tower." During the Summer a cabin was built for the Tower Observer. (Annual Report of the Laurentian Forest Protective Association)
