1950: "A new secondary wooden tower was built at Sunnyside, near Jacquet River, by warden labour. The tower is some 55 ft. high and will command a section of the country not visible from other towers. It is expected a telephone line will be built next spring connecting Nash Creek Cache and Sunnyside Tower for use during hazardous weather." (114th Annual Report of the Department of Lands and Mines)
1951: "The Sunnyside Telephone Line, a metallic circuit on poles, was constructed a distance of five miles, to connect Sunnyside secondary tower with a leased circuit into Jacquet River Exchange office." (115th Annual Report of the Department of Lands and Mines)
